The Respect Life Ministry advocates for and provides education on the sanctity of human life from conception until natural death. To this end, we support the work of local organizations and ministries both inside and outside our parishes that are dedicated to promoting the gift of life and protecting the most vulnerable in our society. Our efforts are rooted in the USCCB Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities.
In addition to Respect Life, we support the Walking With Moms in Need (WWMiN) program developed by the USCCB and supported by the Archdiocese of Atlanta as a parish-based initiative. WWMiN seeks to provide support for the spiritual, emotional and material needs of mothers and their families. Our volunteers partner with local organizations, especially Hart Life Pregnancy Aid Center to provide for the medical, financial and counseling needs of mothers and families.
O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.*
